I actually haven't decided which university I'll go to but I think I might attend Petra Christian University. It's located at Surabaya and it's quite old because it was established in 1961. My mother and also my sister graduated from Petra University too so it's kind of a family tradition, I think.
Petra was established on the suggestion of the leader of PPPK Petra, Tan Tjiauw Yong dan Tan Gie Djien. PPPK Petra wanted to give a broader opportunity for children so that all of them could attend school. But not only that, they dreamed of higher and greater education for people and this motivated them to make a college. So in 22 September 1961, it was officially announced that Petra University was established with faculty of Literature as its first faculty. Until now, Petra has graduated more than 20.000 alumnus from many different faculties and 75% of them work as entrepreneurs mainly in service and industry section.
One of the reasons why I want to study there is because it has great entrepreneurship program. It's just exactly what I need because I want to become a businesswoman after I graduate. Also, it's a christian university, I'm sure Petra has more christian values in its teachings than any other universities. And my sister lives in Surabaya now so I think it will be better if I can stay close to my family and doesn't have to live alone.
I will take the international business management subject in faculty of economics. I realise that I have a talent in talking and persuading people. I think I can become a great careerwoman or even more, have my own company. Also, my English skill is pretty good and it can be an advantage for me when I enter the work field. I really want to open a business that can provide job opportunity for many people. If I can make it happen, I will help a lot jobless people in our country and their lives will be much better. Also, I probably want to make a product or something else that will be used not only by Indonesian people but also other countries. I want my business to go international and be known by the world.

My Vacation
Last year, I had vacation with my whole family including my sister. My sister has to work and she lives in another city so she rarely comes to Semarang. Last vacation, when my father told her we would go somewhere she had come up with another plan so she could not come with us. Thankfully she could join us together this time. So we all had decided before that we would go to Bali and celebrated Christmas Day and New Year's Eve there. I was pretty excited because it's been awhile since the last time I went to Bali and had fun with my whole family.
The night before we went to Bali, I was so busy preparing for everything. I packed up my clothes, swimsuit, and everything I needed for vacation but my father had packed everything in the morning. Of course I got scolded for being too relaxed because I was supposed to be ready by afternoon but I packed my bag at night.
So in the morning we went to Ahmad Yani Airport and checked in our baggage then we waited at the waiting room. While I was waiting,I felt hungry because I had not had anything to eat so I went to some shop and bought a bread. After waiting for 40 minutes, we were told to get on the plane and we headed to Bali.
By the time we arrived in Bali my uncle had waited us in front of the airport's exit to pick us up. He greeted us happily while waving his hand to us. We all felt hungry and pretty exhausted so my uncle took us to a really good restaurant.
After we all felt full, we went to our grandmother's house. My grandma had lived in Bali long before it got famous like now. She was happy because her whole family came, not just me but there was also my aunt and her family from Surabaya.
The next morning, everyone had been ready to go to Waterboom but me. I had woken up late before so I rushed to get ready. In Waterboom my family had fun, especially my sister and I. We all tried to get on every slide there but I was too scared deep inside. My sister had made fun of me before because of that so I did not want to be like that anymore and encouraged myself to try getting on the highest slide there. At first it felt really scary, but after I got on it I wasn't scared anymore. Instead, it felt fun and I wanted to try it again.
After we felt tired from a day full of fun and excitement, we went back to my grandma's house. By the time we got there, my grandma had prepared such a feast. We rushed to the dining table and ate everything until nothing's left because we were too hungry. She had cooked my favorite cake too but I was so full I couldn't eat anymore.
We also went to famous places in Bali like Tanah Lot beach, Sanur and Seminyak which are famous for their luxurious hotels. Most beaches in Bali accomodate facility like water sports. In there, you can get on Banana Boat, Flying fish, and many else.

Movie Review: Whiplash
Whiplash is a 2014 American independent drama film written and directed by Damien Chazelle. Starring a bunch of awesome actors such as Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons. It is produced by Bold Films, Blumhouse Productions, Right of Way Films Company.
Whiplash received critical acclaim from many critic reviews. The film has a score of 94% on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, based on 256 reviews, with a rating average of 8.6/10. On Metacritic, another review aggregator, the film has a score of 88 out of 100, based on 49 critics, indicating "universal acclaim".
Many people praised the movie for the great direction, editing, and writing; adding that Whiplash managed to turn the cliches of the musical-prodigy genre into such and intense and inspiring story that is rare to be found nowadays. Simmons also gained unanimous praises for their performance in the movie and won "Best Supporting Actor" Award at the 87th Academy Awards. Although Whiplash received many positive reviews, Forrest Wickman of Slate accused the film of distorting jazz history and promoting a misleading idea of genius. In The New Yorker, Richard Brody argued that "Whiplash honors neither jazz nor cinema".
Whiplash tells us about the struggle of a young and talented drummer named Andrew Neiman who aspires to become one of the greats. He met Terence Fletcher, an instructor at his conservatory known for his abusive and terriying teaching methods. Fletcher discovers Andrew practicing in the music room late one night and eventually invites him into his studio band as the alternative for core drummer, Carl Tanner. From there, a bound between the teacher and the pupil starts. A boy that is willing to sacrifice anything to be a prodigy and a teacher that will abuse and torment his pupils just to push them harder than ever. Andrew that is so desperate to impress Fletcher even go as far as breaking up with his girlfriend, Nicole and practicing even harder after being humiliated and slapped in front of the class by Fletcher.
Andrew is ambitious and on top of that he is talented. Fletcher realises that but he also realises that it takes more than that to be a legend just like what Andrew dreams of. Fletcher meanwhile, has given up on that dream longtime ago. Instead, he wants his students to achieve that dream and he sees what it takes in Andrew. They both are hard on each other, but they know that they need each other anyway.
I find Whiplash to be really exciting and enjoyable to watch. From the performance of the actors to how the movie is very well directed. It is for sure has to be in everyone's must-watch list. I found Andrew struggle is real and probably that's just how people are in real life. They probably have to suffer that much to achieve their dreams. It is all about blood, sweat, tears...
I recommend the movie for adult only since it contains some strong language and also massive violence. The picture quality is definitely one of the best without those CGI stuffs, if not they wouldn't have won the "Best Picture".
So people, you may have thought that your parents or teachers have been too hard on you. You thought, "You have no right to treat me like this". That's what Andrew thought too. But at the end he realises, Fletcher needs to do that. If he didn't do it, Andrew would not be as great as he is now.
